CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Thermal Camera – Intrinsically Safe

This thermal and digital imager is ATEX and IECEx certified (see ‘Technical Specifications’ for details) making it suitable for use in hazardous and explosive areas. It has been drop-tested from 1m and is unaffected by temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C. Its rugged, IP54 construction, providing resistance to dust and water ingress, also makes it suitable for challenging environments.

Additionally, the CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera has been designed to be lightweight and compact. As a result, it is easy to handle over prolonged periods of time. This digital and thermal imager is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium and features soft-touch keys for ease of operation. Also adding to the practicality and portability of this instrument is its removable, rechargeable battery.

The CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera can be used to locate, identify and document faulty components and sources of damp or heat loss using a combination of 5MP visual images and radiometric thermal images. The CorDEX TP3r can detect and measure temperatures between -10°C and +380°C to an accuracy of 2°C or 2%. 

Furthermore, this digital and thermal camera is capable of real-time blending of visual and thermal images using ATB (Adaptable Thermal Blending) technology. This function is of particular use when attempting to locate and identify faulty electrical and/or mechanical components, as the user is able to view pictures of greater clarity and detail.

Another function present on the CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera is alarm-triggered recording. However; this instrument does not include or require a macro-mode due to the inclusion of a sophisticated visual sensor. The 5MP visual sensor includes a large depth of view as well as an automatic, motorised focus. These features facilitate the camera’s ability to resolve images as close as 5cm away and view 1mm² targets in great detail. The CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera also includes a powerful, ultrabright flash for capturing images in areas with low levels of light.

The user can review images in real-time via the CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera’s full-colour display. This, combined with the camera’s autofocus capabilities, ensures that it is easy to operate:

1.)    Point the camera at the desired target

2.)    Allow the camera to auto-focus

3.)    Review the image via the full-colour display

4.)    When satisfied with the image quality press the shoot button to capture the image

Captured images can be saved to the removable 4GB memory card or may be downloaded to the user’s smartphone or tablet via the CorDEX TP3rEX TOUGHPIX DIGITHERM Digital & Thermal Camera’s integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and CorDEX’s CONNECT App or an onboard web server. As a result, images can be shared with clients and colleagues thereby facilitating collaborative work and increasing work efficiency.
