The FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores MUST be purchased with a compatible lens or lenses and configuration software. This listing is for the FLIR A400 and A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores ONLY.

There are a number of OPTIONAL features also available. The user can choose to include one or more of the following in his/her FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera configuration:

  • Visible Camera with MSX

  • Macro Mode (only for use with a 24° lens)

The FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores are designed to provide high-quality thermal images and precise temperature measurements. Both cores can measure temperatures between -20°C and 2000°C to an accuracy of ±2°C. Inclusion of a precise motorised focus, in addition to a manual focus, means the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores can take accurate temperature readings of objects throughout the field-of-view. Compatibility with a range of lenses equips the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores with multiple fields-of-view; as a result, they can be adapted to suit a variety of applications.

The FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores ONLY differ in regards to their IR resolutions; please see the table below for further details.

Configuration Software Overview

As mentioned above, the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores MUST be purchased with a configuration software: Smart Sensor, Advanced Smart Sensor, Image Streaming or Advanced Image Streaming.

Smart Sensor and Advanced Smart Sensor

The Smart Sensor or Advanced Smart Sensor Configuration Software is recommended for complex remote monitoring, alarming and analytics applications. When the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores are configured using one of these two software programs, they become suitable for EBT-screening. These configurations are also suitable for process control, quality assurance, condition monitoring and early fire detection.

The Smart Sensor configuration enables easy integration into networks including HMI/ SCADA systems and equips the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores with advanced thermal imaging, analytics functions, edge computing and an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

The Advanced Smart Sensor Configuration improves on the Smart Sensor Software by including additional analytics functions, FSX (Flexible Scene Enhancement) technology, support for black-body correction, and compressed and multi-image streaming capabilities.

Image Streaming and Advanced Imaging Streaming

The Image Streaming and Advanced Image Streaming Configurations are suitable for complex remote thermal monitoring. They are ideal for process control, quality assurance, condition monitoring and early fire detection. Please note that unlike the Smart Sensor Configurations, these Image Streaming Configurations are NOT suitable for EBT-screening.

In addition to enabling the streaming of thermal footage, the standard Image Streaming Configuration ensures the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores are compliant with GigE Vision and GenlCam and can be seamlessly integrated into monitoring systems.

The Advanced Image Streaming Configuration Software includes the same features, functions and capabilities as the standard Image Streaming Software but also facilitates multi-image streaming and compressed radiometric 16-bit image streaming. The Advanced Image Streaming Configuration Software also equips the FLIR A400/ A700 Thermal Imaging Camera Cores with FSX (Flexible Image Enhancement) technology and supports RTSP and pan & tilt.
