Affordable, capable of producing high quality thermal images and ideal for a wide variety of applications, FLIR's E4 is an essential thermography system for any professional.

This thermal camera can be used in Ebola screening and as a non-contact Ebola scanner. Just point the camera at a patient and the E4 will pick up on high temperatures without the need to make direct contact.

The FLIR EX Series Comparison

The FLIR EX series consists of four models - the E4, E5, E6 and E8. The E4 is an entry-level product in this range, while the E8 is the highest specification model available. Quality Thermal Images and High Sensitivity

With an 80 x 60 pixel detector and high thermal sensitivity of just 0.15°C, the E4 produces detailed thermal images that are highly accurate and adapt to sudden changes in temperature levels.

The high thermal sensitivity ensures that even minor adjustments to temperature are clearly shown on the camera.

MSX Detail

The FLIR EX series all use multi-spectral dynamic imaging (MSX) to further enhance the presentation of captured thermal images.

MSX works by actively blending together a thermal image with a traditional digital image. This is performed in real time and the active blending makes it much easier to spot levels of detail in a thermal image.

Imagine if you were pointing the camera at a glass analogue dial - on a thermal image, all you'd see is heat bouncing off the surface of the glass. With MSX enabled, this can be seen and you can also see the detail underneath the glass (the needle and digits on the device). Similarly if you pointed the camera at a set of components on an electrical panel you'd be clearly able to see each component.

Incredibly Simple To Use

Even if you've never touched a thermal camera before, the E4 is easy to understand and operate.

Shaped like a pistol, the E4 is comfortable to hold in the hand and capturing an image simply requires the camera to be pointed at something and the trigger on the back to be squeezed. The image is then stored on the camera and can be recalled either directly on the imaging system or can alternatively be downloaded to PC and interacted with by using FLIR's included software package.

Additional functions, such as activating the thumbnail gallery or adjusting the capturing mode, are tied to easily reachable buttons on the front of the device.

Wide Temperature Range

The FLIR E4 can be used in environments where temperature goes up to 250°C and still maintains excellent accuracy at all times.

    As well as a thermal image the FLIR E4 Thermal Camera can take a digital image. This helps when creating reports to show exactly where the problem area is and what it looks like.

  • IR Resolution

    The FLIR E4 Thermal Camera image resolution is 80 x 60 pixels. Every additional pixel means more valuable temperature information to isolate problem areas

  • Sensitivity

    The FLIR E4 Thermal Camera has a thermal sensitivity of 30mK NETD. A lower mK value means a more accurate thermal camera.

  • Software Included

    Software is included for reporting functionality.

  • Temp. Accuracy

    The FLIR E4 Thermal Camera can detect between -/+ 2% of the actual temperature.

  • Temperature Range

    This infrared camera has an accuracy of -20°C to +250°C. Electrical use thermal cameras tend to have the widest temperature range as they deal with the highest temperatures.

Excellent thermal camera for the cost

I look after three schools which have a number of building issues, after buying the Flir E4 it allowed me to easily and quickly identify problem areas countless times and is now used routinely for maintenance checks.
