The FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera is designed to check people for elevated skin temperature. This radiometric camera is ideal for installation at entrances with a medium to high footfall and can be integrated into VMS and access control systems.

Elevated skin temperature (EST) is suggestive of a fever which is a common symptom of many illnesses including COVID-19. It is important to note that, while the FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera cannot diagnose illnesses, it can be used to identify individuals who may need to self-isolate and/or undergo further medical screening. It serves as an effective preliminary safety precaution that can be used to prevent the potential spread of infection in public and professional places. Please see the video below for a quick introduction to the FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera.

Temperature Screening

Once the subject is correctly positioned, the FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera will determine the subject’s skin temperature and issue a pass or fail graphic alert within one second. Persons with a skin temperature outside of the accepted limit will trigger the fail alert; these individuals MUST have their body temperature verified using a medical thermometer.

The FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera automatically locates and measures the temperature of the individual’s inner canthus (corner of the eye). The inner corner of the eye provides a temperature measurement that is closest to the subject’s core body temperature; the FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera can measure temperatures to an accuracy of ±0.5°C.

Personally identifiable information (PII) is not saved during temperature screening.

Intelligent Face Detection

On-edge intelligent face detection algorithms guide individuals to the correct position (approximately 1m from the camera). If necessary, these algorithms will also prompt the subject to remove his/her glasses to enable accurate temperature measurement. Additionally, intelligent face detection is able to recognise face masks ensuring that efficient screening can continue safely.

Moreover, the FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera intelligent algorithms facilitate automatic calibration and update the alarm threshold to prevent false alarms triggered by changing ambient temperatures.

Easy to Integrate

The FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera can be integrated into FLIR and third-party VMS. It also includes digital I/O support enabling integration into access control systems. This protects both the subjects and security staff as it allows temperature-screening to be conducted in accordance with social distancing regulations. Furthermore, integration into systems improves the overall efficiency.

The FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera can be set up in either Portrait or Landscape mode allowing the user to tailor the thermal camera to the environment.

The FLIR ELARA FR-345-EST Temperature-Screening Thermal Camera is a simple, fast and reliable safety precaution. It is ideal for installation in shopping centres, offices and stations.
