FLIR DM285 Industrial Imaging Digital Multimeter with IGM™ Descriptions

The FLIR DM285 Industrial Imaging Digital Multimeter with IGM™ is a true-RMS digital multimeter and thermal imager designed for quickly troubleshooting industrial-electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R and electronic systems.

It includes a 160 x 120pixel thermal imager and IGM™ (Infrared Guided Measurement) technology, allowing the user to troubleshoot potential faults with greater efficiency. Using the thermal imager and IGM™ technology the user is able to detect temperature anomalies, once located he/she is able to investigate the source of the temperature via conducting the necessary tests.

The FLIR DM285 Industrial Imaging Digital Multimeter includes the following measurement capabilities:

  • AC/DC voltage: 600mV to 1000V
  • AC/DC current: 4000µA to 10A
  • Resistance: 6 to 50 MΩ
  • Continuity: 600Ω
  • Diode: 1.5V
  • Capacitance: 10mF
  • Temperature: -40°F to 752°F / -40°C to 400°C

In addition to these tests, the DM285 includes 18 measurement functions, including VFD, true-RMS, LoZ and NCV. Measurement tests and functions are easily accessible via the intuitive menu.

Measurement results and thermal images may be viewed via the TFT display with a wide viewing angle; they may also be saved to the instrument’s data storage and/or can be sent to compatible mobile devices via Bluetooth and the FLIR Tools Mobile App.

In addition to this, the FLIR DM285 Industrial Imaging Digital Multimeter may be used with FLIR’s InSite Professional Workflow Management Tool, in order to perform the following tasks:

  • Instantly file reports using data and images gathered by the DM285
  • Create read-only files detailing inspection reports which may be sent to clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Prepare survey routes

As well as this product’s extensive measurement and data communication capabilities, it is also optimised for durability and adaptability. As such it features a robust, drop-tested design and integrated work lights and laser pointer, making it suitable for both benchtop electronics and fieldwork.

Finally, the FLIR DM285 Industrial Imaging Digital Multimeter features a ‘no tools’ battery compartment allowing the user to change the battery quickly and easily.

Voucher for an ITC Thermal Camera Level 1 Thermography Training Course Description

The Voucher for an ITC Thermal Camera Level 1 Thermography Training Course can be used to enrol on PASS’ ITC (Infrared Training Centre) Category 1 Thermography ISO18436 PCN course.

The duration of this course is four days during which time will cover the following topics:

  • The history of thermography and thermal imagery
  • Applications of thermography within industries
  • How temperature is measured
  • How radiation is converted to temperature
  • A basic introduction to heat transfer and heat transfer theory
  • The theory of infrared
  • Measurement techniques
  • Thermal camera measurement tools

In addition to covering these topics, attendees will also be provided with extensive experience handling and operating thermal cameras. This course is examined via a multiple-choice paper with fifty questions. FLIR ResearchIR Max 4 Software Description

The FLIR ResearchIR Max 4 Software may be used with a variety of FLIR thermal cameras (for a comprehensive list, please see the attached datasheet).

This software is ideal for research and development, as well as professional scientific tasks. Its features, functions and capabilities make it particularly well suited to highlighting small temperature differences and analysing thermal processes in real time.
