The FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras – 9Hz provide a method by which to gather aerial, radiometric thermal images, as well as accurate, non-contact temperature measurements. They can be used with a variety of drones and sUAS and support MAVLink integration.
In addition to this, it is possible to alter the cameras’ functions using PWM inputs emitted via a flight controller and recording and control settings may be adjusted using FLIR’s Vue Pro mobile app.
Furthermore, as these cameras have been optimised for airborne operations their image settings have been configured for this purpose.
Each of the FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras features a frame rate of 9Hz (30Hz versions are available here) and is equipped with a 336 x 259-pixel thermal sensor. These three models differ in regards to their lens sizes and subsequently their fields of view. For further information, please see the table below.
Model Code | Model Name | Lens Size | FOV |
436-0019-00S | FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Camera, 6.8mm, 45 x 34 | 6.8mm | 45° x 34° |
436-0020-00S | FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Camera, 9mm, 35 x 27 | 9mm | 35° x 27° |

Radiometric thermal images captured using these FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras include accurate, calibrated temperature information embedded in each pixel. When saved to the onboard micro-SD card as a radiometric JPEG file this information is retained. Alternatively, thermal images may be saved in a 14-bit TIFF format.
In addition to this, the user is able to record real-time thermal footage in a MOV format. The FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras also support a simple analogue video-out/ power-in interface facilitated by a 10-pin mini-USB connector.
As the FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras are compatible with FLIR’s Tools Software, captured media may be subjected to comprehensive post-flight analysis and can be used to create reports.
The thermal image capture and temperature measurement capabilities of the FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras makes them ideal for thermographers and drone operators requiring a method by which to gather comprehensive, aerial thermal data. The FLIR Vue Pro R 336 Radiometric Drone Thermal Imaging Cameras are particularly well suited to the following applications:
- Building and roof inspections
- Power grid inspections
