The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars are ideal for hunting and tracking. They are highly sensitive infrared imagers with an integrated Wi-Fi module and precise laser rangefinder.

Thermal Imaging

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars provide a high level of image detail; they are able to display slight temperature differences even in conditions with low thermal contrast, such as on cold mornings, in the rain and in the fog. This allows users to see and identify animals, animals’ extremities, branches and leaves.

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars include a NETD <40mk thermal sensor with an infrared resolution of 640 x 480px. This sensor, combined with the binoculars’ objective lens, provides a detection range of 1800m (for a 1.8m-tall object), even in total darkness.

To stabilise the sensor, the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars include a radiator panel: it prevents heat build-up from the sensor and other components and reduces temperature and noise sensitivity.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars are equipped with a 12.4° x 9.3° field-of-view and a 50Hz frame rate. The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ high refresh rate provides fluid, real-time imaging and improved user comfort.

Full-Colour AMOLED Display

The full-colour AMOLED display supports the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ fast frame rate providing fluid, high-resolution imaging with a vividly coloured, richly contrasted and crisp field-of-view.

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ Display Off function can be utilised to conserve battery life and improve concealment during observation hiatuses. It does not affect any of the other operating functions which means only the display needs to be restarted, thereby providing a fast restart time.

Image Boost Technology

Image Boost technology improves the ease of identifying objects, targets and details. It uses a combination of algorithms to increase the clarity, sharpness and detail of thermal images.

Variable Digital Zoom

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ 8x digital zoom can be used to improve focus and object recognition at significant distances.

Picture-in-Picture Mode

The user can zoom-in on specific details, objects or targets without compromising the overall field-of-view. The magnified image is displayed in the top-centre 10% of the FOV.  

Eight Colour Palettes

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars includes the following eight thermal palettes:

  • White Hot
  • Hot Black: detect wildlife at night
  • Red Monochrome: reduces or prevents bright backlight from escaping the eyepiece
  • Sepia: long-range observation
  • Red Hot
  • Rainbow
  • Ultramarine: enhances temperature differences
  • Violet: identify objects quickly

Observation Modes

The user can choose from a range of Observation modes each of which is comprised of pre-programmed settings designed to optimise the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars for use in specific environments, e.g. mountains, forests or cities.

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars also include an Identification Preset mode for identifying objects at greater distances.

Manual Contrast and Brightness Adjustment

The user can adjust the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ contrast and brightness manually. Once adjusted these settings are saved to the binoculars. They can be altered at any time.

Integrated Precision Laser Rangefinder

Accurate to ±1m up to a distance of 1km, the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ integrated precision laser rangefinder can be used to determine distances and territory sizes. It can be used in Scanning mode or Single Time Measurement mode.

Built-in Photo and Video Recorder

By pressing the REC button, users can capture thermal images and videos to be saved to the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ 16GB memory.

Wi-Fi Module and iOS/ Android Compatibility

The integrated Wi-Fi module facilitates a connection to Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, allowing the user to stream, share and download thermal footage and images to his/her smartphone or tablet. Furthermore, using a smartphone/ tablet and Pulsar’s Stream Vision App, the user can upload firmware updates to the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars.

Additionally, Wi-Fi connectivity facilitates remote operation via an OPTIONAL wireless remote control (NOT included).

Comfortable to Use

Dual eyepiece configuration reduces eye fatigue and enhances the natural look of objects. This, combined with an adjustable interpupillary distance, makes the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars comfortable to use over a long period of time.

IPX7 Waterproof Rated

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars is IPX7 waterproof-rated. It is suitable for use in heavy rainfall and snow and will remain completely functional even after submersion in 1m of water for up to thirty minutes.

Battery Powered

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars’ long-life, rechargeable IPS7 batteries provide up to nine hours of power. An innovative battery-release mechanism ensures that it is quick and easy to replace the batteries.

The Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars also include a micro-USB jack for charging the binoculars via an external source such as a power bank. Charging the Pulsar Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars via a power bank protects the source from rapid discharge and is particularly useful during cold weather.
