New for Oct 2020 - Pre-Order

*** Please note that the Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope is a NEW product due to be released in October 2020. It is available to pre-order. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. ***

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope is a highly sensitive, durable and compact infrared-imaging monocular with an eclectic selection of imaging features, functions and modes. It is ideal for hunting, spotting and scouting applications.

Thermal Sensitivity

To provide perfect detail recognition in all weather conditions and detect and display slight temperature differences even in environments with low thermal contrast (e.g. on cold mornings, in fog and rain), the Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope is equipped with a 384 x 288 @17µm thermal sensor with NETD 40mk thermal sensitivity.

This sensor, combined with the Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s powerful F38/1.2 objective lens, provides a detection range of 1350m (for a 1.8m-tall object) even in complete darkness.

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope also has a frame rate of 50Hz and a 9.8° x 7.4° field-of-view.

Full-Colour HD AMOLED Display

AMOLED technology ensures that the HD display can provide fluid, high-resolution imaging while conserving power. The full-colour HD display also provides a crisp, richly contrasted, vividly coloured field-of-view.

Imaging Modes, Functions & Tools

Image Boost Technology

Software algorithms are used to enhance the sharpness, clarity and detail of thermal images making it easier for the hunter to identify objects and targets within the field-of-view.

Variable Digital Zoom

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s variable digital zoom ranges from 3.5x to 14x. The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s maximum zoom, x14, improves the focus and provides better object recognition at significant distances.

The zoom can be adjusted continuously or in steps of 2x. Continual adjustment allows the user to tailor the field-of-view to suit the application.

Picture-in-Picture Function

Zoom in on objects, targets or specific areas without compromising the overall field-of-view. The magnified image is visible in the top-centre 10% of the display.

Colour Palettes

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s eight selectable colour palettes can be used to enhance thermal images/ footage:

  • White Hot
  • Hot Black: detect wildlife at night
  • Red Monochrome: prevents backlight from escaping the eyepiece
  • Sepia: improves long-range observation
  • Red Hot: enhances temperature differences
  • Rainbow: enhances temperature differences
  • Ultramarine: enhances temperature differences
  • Violet: identify objects faster

Observation Modes

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s observation modes are comprised of pre-programmed settings designed to optimise the monocular for use in different environments, e.g. mountains, forests and cities.

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope also includes an Identification Preset mode which improves the ease of identifying objects at long distances.

Integrated Precision Laser Rangefinder

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope is also equipped with a built-in accurate laser rangefinder which can be used to determine the exact distance to a target and/or the size of a territory. The laser rangefinder is accurate to ±1m up to a distance of 1km. It can be used in Single Time Measurement or Scanning mode.

Lightweight, Rugged, & IPX7 Waterproof

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s lightweight magnesium alloy housing provides structural rigidity and ruggedness. It is IPX7 waterproof rated to ensure that it is suitable for use in heavy rainfall or snow. It will also remain completely functional after submersion in up to 1m of water for thirty minutes.

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s compact, durable and lightweight design makes it ideal for long, outdoor applications in all seasons.

B-Pack Mini APS5 Battery System

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides up to seven hours of power per single charge. The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s instant start-up conserves battery life, thereby extending the monocular’s operating time.

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope’s instant start-up, combined with the battery’s quick-change design which enables it to be swapped quickly and easily, enables the monocular to be used continually with minimal disruption.

Finally, a power bank can be connected to the Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope via a USB type-C socket for use as an external power source.

The Pulsar Axion LRF XQ38 Thermal Imaging Scope is a rugged, ergonomic and powerful thermal imaging monocular.
