The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope is a high-performance, durable and fully-featured infrared imaging monocular suitable for outdoor applications such as hunting.

Thermal Imaging

Inclusion of an advanced NETD <40mk thermal sensor means the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope provides precise detail recognition in all weather conditions including rain and fog. It can detect and display small temperature differences even when thermal contrast is low. As a result, the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope delivers a sharp, richly contrasted, high-resolution 12.4° x 9.3° field-of-view, making it easy for the user to identify animals, animals’ extremities, and small details such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain.

Additionally, the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s thermal sensor, combined with its powerful objective lens, equips the thermal monocular with a detection range of 1800m (for 1.8m-tall objects), even in total darkness.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope has a fast frame rate of 50Hz which ensures it is comfortable to use and provides the user with fluid imaging.

Full-Colour AMOLED Display

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s full-colour HD AMOLED display delivers fluid, high-resolution thermal imaging with a crisp, richly contrasted, vividly coloured field-of-view.

AMOLED technology ensures the display is both power-saving and frost-resistant; it is able to deliver high performance even in temperatures as low as -25°C.

In addition to this, the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope includes a Display Off function which can be activated during pauses in observation. This allows the user to conserve battery life and improve his/her camouflage as the Display Off function prevents light from escaping the eyepiece. The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s display can be powered up quickly when required as the Display Off function does not affect any of the other operating modes.

Imaging Modes, Functions & Tools

Image Boost Technology

Image Boost technology improves the ease with which objects and targets are identified throughout the field-of-view. Software algorithms increase image clarity, sharpness and overall detail.

Variable Digital Zoom

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s 8x digital zoom can be used to improve focus and provide better overall object recognition at significant distances.

Picture-in-Picture Function

Zoom-in on specific objects, targets or areas without compromising the overall field-of-view. The magnified image is visible in the top-centre 10% of the display.

Eight Colour Palettes

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope includes eight thermal colour palettes that can be used to enhance thermal imaging:

  • White Hot
  • Hot Black: detect wildlife at night
  • Red Monochrome: prevents backlight from escaping the eyepiece
  • Sepia: improves long-range observation
  • Red Hot: enhances temperature differences
  • Rainbow: enhances temperature differences
  • Ultramarine: enhances temperature differences
  • Violet: identify objects faster

Stadiametric Rangefinder

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s stadiametric rangefinding reticle can be used to determine the distance to objects with known heights, for instance, deer (1.7m), boar (0.7m), and hares (0.3m).

Built-in Photo and Video Recorder

Using the REC button, thermal images and videos can be captured and saved to the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s integrated memory.

16GB Internal Memory

Recorded videos and images are saved to the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s internal 16GB memory. Saved files can be downloaded to a PC or smartphone.

Wi-Fi Module & iOS/ Android Compatibility

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope can be connected to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet using the integrated Wi-Fi module. Recorded thermal media can be shared, streamed or downloaded to the connected smartphone or tablet. Using a smartphone or tablet, as well as Pulsar’s Stream Vision App, the user can update the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope’s firmware, conduct an initial setup of the monocular, and make any subsequent adjustments to the monocular's configuration.

User-Friendly Interface

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope has been designed to include a simple-to-navigate interface with an easy-to-read, icon-driven, alpha-numeric status bar located at the bottom of the display. To ensure that the user is able to view settings without disrupting his/her field-of-view, internal menu items and options are displayed on a contrasting gradient substrate.

IPX7 Waterproof Rated

Suitable for use in heavy rain and snow, the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope is IPX7 waterproof-rated. It will operate flawlessly even after being submerged in up to three feet of water for a maximum of thirty minutes.

Power Supply System B-Pack

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope features a progressive autonomous B-pack power supply which is comprised of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS7, 6.4 A-h battery pack. The IPS7 battery pack provides up to ten hours of operating time.

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope is also compatible with IPS14 battery packs (NOT included) and AA batteries (NOT included).

External Power Supply

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope includes a micro-USB jack for connecting the monocular to an external power bank.

Power-bank charging protects the source from rapid discharge and increases the efficiency with which the Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope can be powered up during cold weather.

The Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Thermal Scope is a highly sensitive, rugged and easy-to-use infrared monocular.
