The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is optimised for professional hunters: it is a premium thermal imager in a traditional-style, aircraft-grade 30mm-tube. Please see the video below for a quick introduction to Pulsar’s range of Thermion Thermal Imaging Riflescopes.

Thermal Imaging Technology

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a 320 x 240-pixel microbolometer sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch. It has a horizontal field-of-view of 4.4° and a detection range of 2300m. It is able to detect heat signatures across its detection range both during the day and night.

To improve focus and target identification the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a 5.5 to 22.0x magnification range. Additionally, its full-colour, HD AMOLED display also improves target identification; it provides high-contrast, sharp and vividly coloured images allowing the user to identify animals, animals’ extremities and environmental features such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain. Furthermore, AMOLED technology also provides power savings.

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is also equipped with a range of colour palettes allowing the user to highlight the details most relevant to him/ her. In addition to standard White Hot and Black Hot colour palettes, the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine for indicating the difference in intensity across a heat signature. It also features Red Monochrome, Violet and Sepia palettes for reducing eye fatigue, allowing the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope to be used over prolonged periods of time.

Selectable colour palettes, as well as a digital magnification/ zoom allows the user to adapt the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope to the application. It is also possible to save up to five zeroing profiles with ten distance coordinates in each one, again this allows the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope to be adapted to suit the application and also facilitates quick rifle change-outs and in-the-field adjustments.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a Picture-in-Picture mode. This function is particularly useful when determining precise shot placement as it can be used to magnify a particular area of the image (10% of the FOV) without losing the overall field-of-view. The magnified area is indicated in a box at the top-centre of the display.

Easy-to-use and Ergonomic

Accessing the required features and functions is made easy due to the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s simple three-button operating system.

Additionally, the ergonomic design of the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope also improves both its ease of use and its versatility. The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is recoil rated to .375, 2-gauge and 9.3x64 making it suitable for use with large calibres. Furthermore, the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can be mounted to a range of rifles as it can be connected to 30mm scope rings without using specialist tools.

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is also compatible with a variety of reticle options including scalable ballistic-style reticles and reticles in various colours (black, white, red and green).

Longevity, Practicality and Durability

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can be used in all seasons: it is IPX7 certified and waterproof, making it resistant to precipitation such as snow and heavy rain. It will also remain functional even after submersion in up to three feet of water for thirty minutes.

This lightweight unit is housed in a rugged, reinforced, all-metal casing and includes an external battery that can be easily accessed and replaced. The external battery is part of the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s dual battery system, this IR riflescope also features an internal battery. The dual-battery system improves its operating time.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s instant start-up also extends its operating time as it can be left off until the moment it is required thereby conserving battery power.

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s durable and practical design increases its physical and operational longevity; its ability to support future software makes it futureproof as it will be able to accommodate new features and functions designed to improve performance.

Wi-Fi Capabilities, Pulsar Stream Vision App and Image/Video Streaming

In addition to supporting future Pulsar software, the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is compatible with Pulsar’s Stream Vision App. This combined with the thermal imaging riflescope’s Wi-Fi connectivity allows the hunter to use his/her smartphone or tablet as a second display and/or control.

Images and videos can be transferred and streamed to the user’s smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi and the Pulsar Stream Vision App. Alternatively, the operator can use his/her smartphone or tablet to access the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s settings and functions.

It is also possible to save thermal images and videos to the Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s 16GB memory. IR images are saved as .jpg files and IR videos are saved in a MPEG-4 format. The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is capable of storing thousands of images and hours of video.

The Pulsar Thermion XM50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is a versatile and ergonomic riflescope capable of providing superior thermal imaging.
