The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope features a state-of-the-art design and superior thermal imaging; it is a premium thermal imager in a traditional-style, aircraft-grade 30mm-tube. Please see the following video for a brief overview of the Pulsar Thermion Thermal Imaging Weapon Scopes.

Thermal Imaging Technology

The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes high-quality germanium optics and a 640 x 480 microbolometer sensor with a 17µm pixel pitch. It has a detection range of 1350m, a horizontal field-of-view of 16.3°, and a magnification range of 1.5 to 12.0x.

The digital magnification/ zoom allows the user to improve the focus and, therefore, the target identification. In addition to this, the full-colour, HD AMOLED display also improves the ease and accuracy of target identification as it provides intensely coloured, high contrast, sharp images allowing the user to identify animals, animals’ extremities and environmental features such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain. Furthermore, the AMOLED technology provides power savings.

Hunters are able to utilise the selectable colour palettes and the Picture-in-Picture mode to highlight the details most relevant to him/ her. The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is equipped with Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine colour palettes for identifying the most intense spots of a heat signature. It also includes Sepia, Violet and Red Monochrome which are designed to reduce eye fatigue, in addition to standard White Hot and Black Hot palettes.

Moreover, the PIP mode can be used to magnify specified areas of the image (10% of the FOV) without losing the overall field-of-view. The magnified section is displayed in a box at the top-centre of the display. This mode is particularly useful when determining precise shot placement.

Additionally, to facilitate in-the-field adjustments and quick rifle change-outs up to five zeroing profiles each containing ten distance coordinates can be saved to the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope.

Easy-to-use and Ergonomic

Also adding to the practicality and versatility of this thermal imaging weapon scope is its ability to be connected to standard 30mm scope rings without using specialist tools. This means the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can be used with a variety of rifles.

Furthermore, as the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is recoil rated up to .375 H&H, 2-gauge and 9.3x64, it can be used with large calibre weapons.

This riflescope is also compatible with a range of Pulsar reticle options such as scalable ballistic-style reticles and reticles in various colours (black, white, red and green).

In terms of its operation, the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s features, functions and settings can be accessed using the simple, three-button interface.

Wi-Fi Capabilities, Pulsar Stream Vision App and Image/Video Streaming

Alternatively, it is possible to operate the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope using a smartphone or tablet, Wi-Fi, and the Pulsar Stream Vision App.

In addition to using a smartphone or tablet as a second control, it can also be used as a second display as thermal media may be streamed to the smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi and the Pulsar Stream Vision App.

It is also possible to save IR images and videos to the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope. It features an integrated 16GB memory and will store thermographic images as .jpg files and IR videos as MPEG-4 files. The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can store thousands of images and hours of videos.

Longevity, Durability and Practicality

The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is also equipped with a dual battery system consisting of an internal and external battery. This battery system increases the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s operating time, as does its instant start-up. As the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope powers-on instantly the user is able to leave it switched off until the moment it is required, thereby conserving battery power.

Also adding to the practicality of this instrument is its rugged, reinforced, all-metal casing which ensures the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is protected against challenging outdoor environments. This lightweight and waterproof thermal imaging riflescope is IPX7 certified, ensuring that is resistant to precipitation such as heavy rainfall and snow. The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope will remain functional even after submersion in three feet of water for thirty minutes. This durable design makes the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope suitable for use in a variety of environments regardless of the season.

The dual battery system and rugged design improve the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s operational and physical longevity, whilst its compatibility with future Pulsar software preserves its technological longevity. The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope will be able to support new features and functions designed to improve its performance, enabling it to keep up with developments in the field of Pulsar riflescopes.

The Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is a practical, premium, professional infrared imaging riflescope.
