Designed to provide sharp, richly contrasted, high-definition thermal imaging, the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is a highly sensitive, rugged and versatile hunting tool.

Thermal Imaging

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can detect and display small temperature differences, even in conditions with low thermal contrast, for instance on cold mornings or in rain or fog. This means the hunter can identify animals, animals’ extremities and small details, such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain, in challenging weather conditions.

To this end, the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a NETD 40mk thermal sensor with an IR resolution of 640 x 480px. This sensor, combined with the objective lens, equips the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope with a detection range of 1800m (for a 1.8m-tall object), even in total darkness.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s wide-angle, six-lens eyepiece, together with its HD AMOLED display, provides rich and deep image perception. This wide-angle, six-lens eyepiece offers a field-of-view that is 20% larger than the previous Pulsar Trail LRF XP50 model. The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope has a 12.4° x 9.3° field-of-view.

The HD AMOLED display also supports the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s fast 50Hz frame rate, providing the hunter with fluid, real-time imaging. This allows hunters to make accurate speed assessments and precise shot placements.

Full-Colour HD AMOLED Display

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope features a frost-resistant full-colour HD AMOLED display. It has an operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C.

The full-colour HD AMOLED display’s support for the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s 50Hz frame rate ensures that it is able to deliver fluid, real-time thermal imaging with a high-resolution, crisp, vibrantly coloured field-of-view.

After a period of inactivity, the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s Display Off function will power down the full-colour HD AMOLED display. This improves concealment and extends the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s battery life. The Display Off function does not affect any of the other operating functions, thereby providing a faster restart time.

Imaging Modes & Tools

Image Boost Technology

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope uses a combination of software algorithms to improve image clarity, sharpness and detail. This makes it easier for the hunter to identify objects, targets and details.

Picture-in-Picture Mode

This mode allows the hunter to zoom in on a particular object, target or detail without losing the overall field-of-view. The magnified image is displayed in the top-centre 10% of the field-of-view. The Picture-in-Picture mode proves useful when determining precise shot placements.

Variable Digital Zoom

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s x8 digital zoom can be used to improve focus and target recognition at significant distances.

Customisable Reticle Options

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope offers a selection of colour-customisable reticles, including scalable ballistic reticles. The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope features black, white, red or green colour options.

Integrated Precision Laser Rangefinder

Accurate to ±1m up to a distance of 1km, the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope's integrated precision laser rangefinder can be used to determine the distance to the target. It can be used in two modes:

  • Single Time Measurement
  • Scanning: enables the user to adjust to changing distances for improved shot placement

Zeroing Profiles Management

Zeroing profiles facilitate in-the-field adjustments and quick rifle change-outs. Up to five zeroing profiles with a maximum of ten distance coordinates can be saved to the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s internal memory.

Integrated Photo and Video Recorder

Using the REC button, thermal images and footage can be captured and saved to the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s internal memory.

Thermal media saved to the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s built-in memory can be downloaded to a PC or smartphone.

16GB Internal Memory

Zeroing profiles and thermal images and videos can be saved to the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s 16GB internal memory.

Wi-Fi Module & Android/ iOS Compatibility

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s integrated Wi-Fi module facilitates a connection to Android and iOS smartphone or tablets. This connection can be used to stream, share and download thermal images and videos to a smartphone or tablet and/or upload firmware updates to the riflescope.

Ergonomic

Easy-to-Use Interface

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s user-friendly interface displays menu items and options on a contrasting gradient substrate, allowing the user to view settings without compromising the overall field-of-view. The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope also includes an easy-to-read, icon-driven, alpha-numeric status bar that is located at the bottom of the display.

Rugged

Durable, lightweight and shockproof magnesium alloy housing provides increased structural rigidity; this means the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can be used with larger calibre rifles. The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is recoil rated to 6000 joules and is suitable for use with high-calibre rifles up to .375 H&H, 12-gauge and 9.3x64.

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s magnesium alloy housing also provides better heat dissipation.

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is suitable for use in heavy rainfall and snow as it is IPX7 waterproof-rated. It will remain completely functional even after submersion in up to three feet of water for up to thirty minutes.

B-Pack Power Supply

The B-pack power supply consists of a quick-detach, rechargeable, IPS7, 6.4 A-h battery. It can provide up to eight hours of power.

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is also compatible with IPS14 battery packs (NOT included) and AA batteries (NOT included).

Instant Start-Up

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can power on in approximately three seconds. Its instant start-up conserves battery life and extends its operating time.

The Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is an adaptable, rugged and high-performance infrared imager and hunting tool.
