SuperResolution captures successive images and combines them using an advanced algorithm to deliver an increased resolution of 640 x 480px. This makes it easier for users to identify issues. Moreover, the Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera’s ScaleAssist automatically sets the optimal thermal scale to increase contrast and prevent interpretation errors. Images captured using this feature can be reliably compared even when taken in different ambient conditions.
The Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera’s Moisture Distribution function also improves the ease, efficiency, and precision of inspections. When engaged, this function will show the distribution and severity of moisture throughout the field-of-view. A traffic light system is used to indicate the risk of mould:
- Green: low risk
- Yellow: moderate risk
- Red: high risk
In addition to this, support for wireless connectivity means the Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera can be used in conjunction with compatible Testo clamp meters and humidity probes. Measurements taken by these instruments are embedded in thermal images. Wi-Fi also allows thermographers to use their smartphone or tablet, with Testo’s App installed (available for free on iOS and Android), as a second display and remote control. Users can create and send reports on site via their smartphone or tablet.
Alternatively, Testo’s free IRSoft Software (included as a free download) can be used to analyse images and create reports on a PC.
SiteRecognition technology makes analysing images and creating reports quicker as it eliminates manual image management. The Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera automatically recognises the measurement location and assigns relevant images to the asset’s folder.
