The Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera Kit includes a Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera and two lenses:
- Standard 30° x 23° lens
- Telephoto 12° x 9° lens
These lenses can be used interchangeably with the Testo 883 Thermal Camera.

The Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera is an infrared-imaging camera with an IR resolution of 320 x 240px, 40mk thermal sensitivity, and manual focus. It is ideal for maintenance staff, facility managers, and building energy consultants. It can be used to:
- Find structural defects
- Assess construction quality
- Detect leaks
- Prevent mould
- Check radiators
The Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera includes a range of functions designed to improve the ease and efficiency of inspections and troubleshooting:
- SuperResolution: captures successive images and combines them using an advanced algorithm to increase the IR resolution to 640 x 480px.
- ScaleAssit: automatically sets the thermal scale to increase contrast; this reduces interpretation errors and ensures images can be reliably compared even when taken in different ambient conditions.
- Moisture Detection: indicates the distribution and severity of moisture using a traffic light system to illustrate the risk of mould - green for low risk, yellow for moderate risk, and red for high risk.
- SiteRecognition: automatically recognises measurement sites/ objects and saves relevant images to the asset’s folder.
In addition to this, the Testo 883 Thermal Imaging Camera includes integrated Wi-Fi connectivity which facilitates use with compatible Testo clamp meters and humidity probes. Moreover, Wi-Fi allows thermographers to use their smartphone or tablet as a second display and remote control. Using the Testo App (available for free on Android and iOS), thermographers can also create and send reports on site.
Alternatively, reports can be created on a PC using the supplied Testo IRSoft Software (included as a free download). This software can also be used to analyse images.
