FLIR Scion OTM260 Outdoor Thermal Monocular – 9Hz

The FLIR Scion OTM260 Outdoor Thermal Monocular is optimised for outdoor applications such as monitoring, tracking and hunting wildlife. Its FLIR Boson core ensures that it is able to capture 9Hz thermal imaging in all light conditions ranging from total darkness to glaring light or haze, and its rugged, IP67-rated housing ensures that it is protected from damage and the elements.

This instrument is also equipped with a 640 x 512-pixel detector, 18mm lens and high-definition display. It has a frame rate of 9Hz and a 24° x 18° field-of-view; these features combined with the FLIR Boson core’s processing capabilities ensures that the user is continually provided with clear, sharp, smooth thermal imaging and therefore a comprehensive and superior awareness of his/her surroundings.

In addition to this, the FLIR Scion OTM260 Outdoor Thermal Monocular includes a number of imaging functions and features that allow the user to tailor the optic to his/her requirements. Using the simple controls and intuitive menus the operator is able to alter the thermal imaging colour palette; he/she can choose from the following palettes:

• White Hot
• Black Hot
• Iron Bow
• Rainbow
• Graded Fire
• Lava

Moreover, the FLIR Scion OTM260 Outdoor Thermal Monocular’s Picture-in-Picture function allows the user to focus on a particular point in the thermal image without losing the overall field-of-view.

Furthermore, this thermal optic is equipped with GPS functionality meaning that captured thermal images and footage can be geotagged. Geotagged, thermal media may be saved to the FLIR Scion OTM260 Outdoor Thermal Monocular’s internal 2GB memory; its memory capacity can be extended via the addition of an OPTIONAL 128GB microSD card, allowing the user to capture hours of thermal footage and numerous thermal images. Thermal media may be sent to a smartphone, tablet or PC via a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
