Testo's 872 Thermal Camera provides one way of spotting damp and mould before they damage your property. Discover four more methods here!
The Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera – 9Hz is designed for professional applications and is ideal for daily maintenance and installation tasks within trade and industry.
This thermal camera has an infrared resolution of 320 x 240 pixels which can be increased to 640 x 480 pixels when used with the integrated SuperResolution technology. It is able to measure temperatures over 76800 measuring points and can detect differences as slight as 0.06°C. The Testo 872 has the following temperature ranges:
The Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera will display critical temperatures as hot and cold spots on the display and will automatically adjust the thermal scale using its Testo ScaleAssist function, as well as determine and set the emissivity and reflected temperature using the Testo ɛ-Assist function. These features work to eliminate the possibility of measurement mistakes and therefore produce error-free and comparable thermal images.
Adding to the accuracy of this camera is its IFOV warner which allows the user to view on the image the exact measurement spot, this also works to reduce the possibility of measurement errors.
In addition to these features, the Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera includes an integrated digital camera with laser marker. The digital camera can be used to capture ‘real’ images in parallel to the thermal image.
Thermal images may be saved to the camera as JPEG files and can be evaluated on a PC using the included Pro Software.
Alternatively, the operator can use the Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera’s wireless capabilities to communicate via WLAN with an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. Once connected to a smartphone or tablet the user can write, send and save reports via the Testo Thermography App. In addition to this, the Testo Thermography App may be utilised to operate the thermal camera remotely with the user’s smartphone or tablet serving as a second display.
The inclusion of a WLAN and Bluetooth radio module also facilitates the thermal camera’s ability to be used in conjunction with a number of compatible Testo products, such as the Testo 770-3 Clamp Meter and Testo 605i Thermo-hygrometer (sold separately). The Testo 872 can send information to and receive information from these compatible instruments via Bluetooth, thereby allowing the user or users to conduct comprehensive and/or collaborative investigations.
As a result of the Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera’s wireless capabilities and ability to capture error-free, comparable thermal images, it is particularly well suited to the following applications:
